Essay

The work is devoted to determining the application field of standardized methods for determining characteristics of fire protective capability of fire protective coatings for bearing metal structures. It is necessary for scientific substantiation of required minimum thicknesses of these coatings, which is important for increasing the fire protection level of construction projects. "Methodical recommendations on using standardized methods of determining characteristics of fire protective capability of fire protective coatings of bearing metal structures" with detailed calculation procedures are developed. These recommendations contain provisions regarding the application fields of these methods, which is very important for their practical usage. Approbation of these recommendations on two types of fire protective coatings is performed; the results of approbation have confirmed the provisions concerning the application fields of standardized methods, established by computational experiment. The project "Changes №1 to the National Standard of Ukraine NSTU B V.1.1-17", containing reasonable changes to the provisions of this standard, is developed.
