Essay

This research is devoted to the study of regularities of movement of liquid in hydraulic systems used in different kinds of equipment, including fire equipment under the conditions of changing flow mass in length. Rheological features of liquids with surface active additives used in fire fighting are considered, as well as piping systems with straight and curved pipelines, with discrete (through sprinklers) drainage. It is experimentally substantiated that flows of such type are not stabilized. It is necessary to take into account both viscous forces and inertial forces of convective acceleration when determining energy losses in length.
