Essay

The theoretical foundations of grazing X-ray diffraction at three non-homogeneous crystalline systems are created in the thesis. These are: a crystal with a one-dimensional lattice of nanowires on its surface, a crystal with subsurface defects and a single-crystal waveguide. The dynamical equations are obtained and the diffraction patterns on these systems are descibed in the paper. The structure-sensitive features of these patterns for the first two systems are established, and it is determined the role of the Bragg diffraction in X-rays passing through the waveguide.
