Valiavkinske iron ore deposit is located in the Southern region of Kryvyi Rih basin. Its productive rock mas comprises the fourth, fifth and sixth ferrygenous horyzons of the saksaganskaya suite. The main metal minerals of the deposit are high grade hematite quartzites are mined by "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" and are the raw materials for iron ore concentrate production the hematite quartzutes are the product of weathering of magnetite quartzites, at the moment they are studied as promising iron ore raw material of the deposit. Deposits of hematite quartzites are the crust of weathering layered bodies of magnetite quartzites. Depth of its distribution makes up 500-550 m. Horizontal and vertical zonality is typical for low grade hematite ore deposits. Hematite quartzites are practicaly bimineral iron ore raw materials. Ore forming minerals are hematite and quartz. Secondary minerals are represented by goethite, relict magnetite, kaolinite, hypergene way changed silicates (biotite, cummingtonite, chlorite). Taking into account mineral composition, structure, ores texture, mineral physical properties ways of producing high quality iron ore concentrate from hematite quartzites, the most efficient being gravitational method providing concentrate, production having 65-67 mas.% of iron content with the yield not less than 30 %. Results of geological studies have been implemented into production, are used foe qualitative and qualitative estimation of low hematite ores deposits, for their geological and technological mapping.
