Essay

The object of research is the processes of transformation of information in the system of diagnostics of the ionospheric environment state by incoherent scatter (IS) radar. Objective: to increase the reliability, accuracy and speed of transormation of of information in a computer system of remote diagnostics of the state of the ionospheric environment based on the IS radar. Methods: simulation, theory of measuring systems, methods of Fourier analysis, numerical methods, methods of statistical analysis. Theoretical and practical results: improved accuracy and speed of computational procedures of conversion of data obtained by the method of incoherent scattering, modernized methods of modeling of random signals, such as those treated in the system of diagnosing the ionosphere, developed and implemented an information system for processing, storing and transmission of data obtained by means of the Kharkiv IS radar, implemented a specialized software package for the study of the upper and medium ionosphere and wave processes under disturbances of natural and anthropogenic origin, developed a system for testing the data processing system of the IS radar. Scientific novelty: first a generalized model of the autocorrelation function of the incoherently scattered signal that properly takes into account the features of radar sensing mode and spatial-temporal distribution of the parameters of the ionospheric environment was constructed; first by the results of the simulation confidence intervals of parameters of the ionospheric environment were more accurately estimated; methods of the information transformation in a computer system for the diagnosis of the state of the ionospheric environment were improved; approaches to the theory of imitation of incoherently scattered signals were improved. Implementation: Institute of ionosphere of NAS and MES of Ukraine (Kharkiv), National Technical University "KhPI" (Kharkiv). Areas of use: designing or upgrading of computerized systems of diagnostic and control of the parameters of environment, the learning process.
