Essay

The thesis is devoted to the discovering of the biochemical mechanisms of pyrrolidine derivatives of 2-carboxylic acid effects on the gastric mucosa in the condition of experimental ulcer. The experiments help to reveal that the studied compound has a pronounced antiulcer effect on experimental ulcer models induced by stress, ethanol and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (indomethacin and aspirin). The evaluation of antiulcer action of sodium 2-(2-hydroxyphenoxy)acetyl)-L-prolinate showed that its antiulcer properties are associated with a decrease in the intensity of lipid peroxidation and inflammation, normalization of eicosanoids and increased synthesis of protective heat shock proteins (60 and 70) and prostaglandin E2.
