The thesis investigates the ways the speaker's invective behaviour is represented in English fictional conflict discourse. The research offers the theoretical framework for the study of the speaker's invective behaviour representation in conflict discourse in the insights of linguistic personology, communicative conflictology, pragmatics and emotiology. The thesis reveals the verbal and non-verbal means by which the invective language personality is recognised in English conflict discourse with the focus on the emotive and pragmatic characteristics. The invective discourse strategy is outlined, the main tactics of its implementation in English fictional conflict discourse are singled out.
