Essay

The work is devoted to studying age and gender specific hyperuricemia and its clinical and pathogenetic significance in osteoporosis and gout. It is established, that the level of uric acid in the blood serum increasing with age and it is different in older women compared with younger women. It is established that the incidence of osteoporosis in patients with hyperuricemia was lower compared with patients with normouricemia. Bone mineral density of lumbar spine, forearm (area 33%) and total body was significantly higher in men with the highest levels of uric acid. It was found that age does not affect on the variability of indicators of the level of uric acid in the blood serum in men and women with gout. We determined the correlation between the level of uric acid in women and men with gout and body mass index, triglycerides. The content of vegetable proteins and fats in the daily diet of actual nutrition in men and women with gout is significantly higher compared with mean levels of Ukraine.
