Tovstukha O. Influence of ecological factors on condition of pine stands in the northeastern part of Ukraine.

Object - processes of forming and weakening of pine stands under influence of abiotic and biotic factors; Aim - revealing of peculiarities of structure, productivity and sanitary condition of pine stands in the northeastern part of Ukraine, their weakening under influence of wind and biotic factors, and determination of the ways of increase the stability of forest; methods - silvicultural, entomological, statistical; novelty - the ways of optimization of tree species composition and age structure of forest fund are revealed; priorities are determined for sanitary measures after wind damage for prevention of stem insect pests' distribution and decrease the losses of industrial timber; results - reserves of increase the productivity of pine stands in the region and peculiarities of wind damage the pine stands depending on their origin, age, species composition, forest site conditions are determined. Increase of probability of pine sawflies foci forming is proved in the stands, where forest closure decreases in result of wind damage and selective sanitary felling. Peculiarities are studied for trees' colonization by stem pests after wind damage in different months of the year.
