The object comprises military, scientific, journalistic and social activities of M. Dragomirov in the context of social and political processes in the Russian Empire in the second part XIX - at the beginning of XX centuries. The purpose is to explore the content and the role of the military, scientific, journalistic and social activities of M. Dragomirov (1830-1905). The practical significance consists in expanding scientific knowledge about the military, scientific, journalistic and social activities of M. Dragomirov. The methods include analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, classification, generalization, historical and genetic, problem-chronological, historical and typological, historical and comparative methods and criticism of sources.
