The work is devoted to the problem of motivating career choices by unemployed persons - by employment center clients. Had been argued that the professional motivation of employment center clients is predefined by totality of external and internal factors that have different degrees of awareness. As a result of theoretical and experimental work the gender and age specificity of motivating career choices by unemployed is presented. Argued the interconditinality of the career choice motifs by unemployed. The types of motivation career choices by employment center clients have been distinguished. The personality internals of unemployed persons, complicating the choice of profession and job are noticed. The importance of introduction is grounded in activity of employment centers the psychological accompaniment program of unemployed. It is noted that a psychological support should include: a psychological diagnosis, vocational information, counseling, psychotherapy, psychotraining. The training program of psychological support the unemployed persons is offered. There is its efficiency to optimize motivating career choices and improvement of employment indexes by employment center.
