The object of study: the processes of balanced development of the region. The aim of study: generalization of theoretical positions and development of scientific recommendations to formation of organizational support for the sustainable development of the region. Methods of study: method of logical analysis and synthesis; statistical and graphical methods; method of strategic planning; method of systematization. The practical significance of results lies intheir entrance into the practical activity of executive authorities at the regional level which allows to define the organizational support of the balanced development of the region. Scientific novelty of results lies in fact that it was the first time when the organizational support of the balanced development of the region was formed. Were implemented: the approach to the analysis and assessment of the balanced development of the region in dynamics; the territorial approach to calculation of assessment integral index of the balance development of the region; the mechanism for implementing the strategy of sustainable development of the region. Further development have got: the understanding of importance of the balanced economic development of the region; the systematization of determinants, principles and tools of the sustainable development of the region by organizing them; the experience in sustainable development of the region by means of grouping of the modern tools of sustainable development; the study and formation of strategic imperatives within the strategy of the balanced development of the region basing on the composition of strategic, operational and tactical objectives.
