Essay

The dissertation is devoted to deciding the actual scientific problems of effects at the weak electric fields of tension on the stability state of a coal. Developed methods and labor devices for studying the electrical characteristics of coal under the simultaneous effect of temperature, pressure and weak electric current, penetrated through the sample of a coal. Has been experimentally set a new physical effect, which concluding that at the temperature range 300-315 the electrical current excites at the coals the chemical reaction which followed by formation of gases and free radicals which are similar to the composition of the gas obtained by thermal activation of coals. Outburst of coal are polarized to large values of evoked potentials with a time of recession to 104 s. The outburst is conditioned by the property of coal-gas system to save in the terms of comprehensive volume compression potentially high ability to active development of destructive processes. Imbalance initiates the conversion of organic matter of coal into gas. The obtained results have complemented some of the fundamental provisions of geomechanical concepts of sudden outbursts, which allowed to answer the main question of the origin of large amounts of gas.
