Essay

Fast simulation techniques enabling to evaluate the functional failure of markovian and non-markovian models with bounded relative error are proposed. A fast simulation method enabling to evaluate the probability of functional failure when the real capacity of the network is less then demanded one is proposed. It is proved that under some weak conditions an estimate has a bounded relative error by increasing of the edges reliability. A system operating in two modes is considered. System structures in these modes are described by different fault trees. A fast simulation method producing unbiased estimates for the probability of system failure is developed.
