Cherepanyn R. Ecological features of generative reproduction in populations of rare arctic-alpine species of plants in Ukrainian Carpathians.

The object is the population of rare arctic-alpine species of plants. The aim is to establish the ecological features of generative reproduction in populations of rare arctic-alpine species of plants in Ukrainian Carpathians in vivo and by action of anthropogenic factors. The ecological features of generative reproduction and its role in the functioning of populations were for the first time analyzed in this thesis for rare arctic-alpine species of plants in Ukrainian Carpathians. The structure of populations (number, age and spatial distribution), internal population variability and variability between populations were analized. The viability and vitality structure of populations were investigated using the vitality population index (IVC), quality population index (Q) and diagnostic signs of organisms and populations. Also we investigated dynamics of germination and seeds viability of rare arctic-alpine species of plants. Influence of darkness, freezing and irradiation on seeds germination has been studied. The reaction of populations of rare arctic-alpine species in the variable environmental conditions and under influence of anthropogenic pressure was analized. Application spheres are conservation of biodiversity and training courses.
