It was determined that among 282 rare plant species of the basin of the Vorskla river most (135 species, 47,9 %) of the members belong to of zonal ecosystems. The inventory data of placement of 57 rare plant deciduous forests and 78 BV steppe species was determined. Biomorphological, geographical, ecological and sozological analysis were carried out. On the base of synfitoindicated research the amplitude of environmental factors for 17 steppe and 7 forest species was specified. Ecological and coenotic affinity of rare plant species was discussed. The state of cenopopulations of 4 model species (Adonis vernalis, Astragalus dasyanthus, Allium ursinum, Tulipa quercetorum) was figured out. Autfitosozological assessment of rare plant species was done, the reasons for their rarity and condition of protected areas in the region of research were found. The necessity of the creation of five new reserves was proved. The scheme of ecological basin network was organized. The collection of the park of agrobiostation belonged to Poltava Korolenko National Pedagogical University was refilled with 10 rare species and the reintroduction of 6 plant species was conducted.
