In the thesis we present the solution of scientific and practical problems regarding the details of histopathological changes of cerebral arteries in ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes on the background of metabolic syndrome. In scientific work we used histochemical, immunohistochemical methods, the method of morphometric analysis and statistical processing of certain indicators. The practical value lies in defining the main morphological substrate of vascular lesions in metabolic syndrome-atherosclerosis, and its morphogenesis
