Essay

The thesis is devoted to measuring of the Earth's pole coordinates with laser ranging observations of artificial satellites. The software package "KyivGeodynamiсs++" is used in this work. This program developed according to the latest requirements of the International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service (IERS). The pole coordinate series for 2001 with one day step were obtained using the software package "KyivGeodynamiсs++". These results were compared with similar obtained by other international satellite laser ranging (SLR) data processing centers. It was shown that "KyivGeodynamiсs++" allows to process the satellite laser ranging data with the accuracy not worse than in other analysis centers and is quite suitable for use of IERS problems solving. Also, an analysis of models of atmospheric density, suitable for use in calculating the drag of satellites was made. The magnitudes of random errors were evaluated and recommendations for their using into analyzing the data SLR low Earth orbits satellites were presented. Based on the recommendations of the IERS standard and atmospheric density model NRL-MSISE-00 the attempt to derive the coordinates of the pole of Earth from Ajisai, Stella and Starlette observations was made. Unfortunately, not all perturbing accelerations we were able to compensate and pole coordinates from these observations were not derived.
