Essay

The thesis is devoted to electromagnetic processes with participation of light mesons. The attention is focused on the derivation of the analytic expressions for the electromagnetic form-factors on the basis of the effective chiral Lagrangians and on the theoretical predictions for the phenomena in which these form factors are important. Several processes, with the dynamics controlled by the properties of scalar mesons, are studied. The analytic expressions for the kaon electromagnetic form factors are calculated at the loop level. The two-photon form factors of neutral pseudoscalar mesons are studied as well as the transition form factors of vector mesons. The results can be used for further development of meson interaction theories at intermediate energies and for planning of new electron-positron collider experiments.
