Essay

The dissertation studies the problem of the scientific approaches justifications for the increasing of efficiency of thin metal slitting saws with fine teeth taking into account the evaluation of the stress-strain state of the disc as to the action of cutting forces and dynamic stability by kinematic excitation of bending vibrations in the processing of grooves in steel products. The power characteristics of metal slitting saws in the processing of grooves considering their structural, geometrical and operational parameters, radial runout and wear of teeth, the size and location of the workpiece were studied and analyzed. The dynamic durability of slitting saws while kinematic stimulation of bending vibrations in the processing of grooves was investigated based on the obtained power characteristics. The stress-strain state of slitting saw discs depending on the action of the circular and radial components of the cutting force taking into account their structural and geometrical parameters was investigated and analyzed. The methodology and software for calculating the stress from exposure to the circular and radial cutting forces in any part of the disc of the metal slitting saws and safety factors in the area of clearance grooves were developed. The experiment and laboratory research were carried out which showed that the evaluation criteria of efficiency of thin slitting saws with a fine tooth in the processing of grooves is the criterion of their dynamic stability while kinematic stimulation of bending vibrations and the safety factor in the area of clearance grooves. The recommendations for exploitation of slitting saws with a fine tooth were worked out. Their implementation will improve the tool efficiency on account of their achievement of such condition, that will not premise their complete failure.
