The theoretical and methodological basis are grounded and practical recommendations regarding the improvement of the organizational and economic development of the food market of the region taking into account modern trends of development of regional economics and specific regional conditions are developed in the thesis; the economic content of the category "regional food market" is sophisticated, its structure, functions, relations, and market place in the social and economic system of the region are defined in the thesis; the formation, development and satisfaction level of effectual demand in the regional food market, taking into account regional peculiarities of their production and consumption are analyzed; the conversion process of needs in effectual demand, that is implemented at the regional food market, is investigated; the organizational support for the regulation of this process is developed; the methodical approach to estimation the level of development of the food market in the region is improved; the methodological tools to assess the status and quality of food for the population of the region are developed; the necessity of marketing approach to the implementation of regulatory impact on regional food market and implementation of marketing tools for its development are grounded; the social and economic mechanism of marketing management of development of the regional food market is developed, the strategic approaches to managing the development of the food market of the region are improved.
