Essay

With the aim of improving morphological differential diagnostics of mesangiocapillary glomerulonephritis (MCGN) type I and diffuse lupus glomerulonephritis (DLGN), a complex morphological analysis of 43 kidney biopsies of patients with MCGN and 39 that of patients with DLGN was held. At the basis of acquired data, a range of glomerular, tubular-interstitial, vascular changes were evaluated. Criteria of "activity" and "chronicity" were established. Morphogenetic aspects of interstitial fibrosis and the impact of cellular infiltration on it were established. Presence of clinico-morphological connections was established. Increased values of such informative morphological criteria as diffuse distribution of cellular proliferation, thickening of Bowman's capsule basal membrane, subepithelial and subendothelial deposits of C3, as well as decreased values of kariorexis and polymorphonuclear leukocytes' infiltration of glomeruli, C3 deposits in cylinders and C1q in sclerosis regions - all above mentioned criteria increase the probability of MCGN type I diagnostification.
