Essay

The internal structure, formations, deformations, stages and conditions of the formation of Volyn Paleozoic uplift (VPU) have been investigated. The difference between Paleoproterozoic crystalline basement and the basement of neighboring parts of Volyn-Podilska plate have been proved. It was suggested to consider it as part of a mobile Centralbilorussian suture zone. Mesoproterozoic- Paleozoic deformed cover of VPU is divided on three structural-formational tiers: lower baikalian, which refers to Volyn Polissya aulacogene deflection, as well as upper baikalian and caledonian as a part of the Dniester pericratonic deflection. The comparative characteristic of the geological structure of VPU and its framing from the side Lublin-Lviv Paleozoic deflaction trough, with involvement of the lower- and upper-hercinian tiers, which are absent within the uplift. It has been proved that the deformation structure of VPU is folded-block (германотипной) and is significantly more intense, than in other parts of the Volyn-Podillya plate. Raised tectonic blocks of the foundation in a cover correspond to brachyanticline, sunken to brachysyncline. The ore exposure of native cooper are related to brachyanticlines, exposures of lead, zinc, bitumen - to brachysynclines. Geodynamic conditions of the territory VPU during Karelian, Baikal, Caledonian and Hercynian cycles of geological development have been clarified. It has been shown that geological structure of VPU has acquired its characteristic features of the in earlyrgertsinian (Breton) era of tectonic activity, when its folded-block structure has been formed.
