The dissertation deals with the increasing of the efficiency of gears grinding due to the control of the contact interaction of a wheel with a gear involute profile in the grinding zone by choosing the tool abrasive material and machining parameters. A model of the worn surface of a dish wheel is proposed, based on which the macroprofile of a radial intersection of the abrasive layer is described by an equation of a linear function. A grinding wheel region generated in a radial intersection, which forms the tooth involute profile, is located at the tip of a wheel cutting part. The proposed probable assessment of destruction of a cBN single abrasive grain in the machining zone based on the opposite effect of a variation of breaking and acting loadings for finish and high efficiency grinding. It has been shown that to decrease the time of the attrition wear of the grinding wheel, one should form a wear land of size 0.03-0.05 mm. The cBN dish grinding wheels of the 12A2 type with a special shape of the cutting edge are developed. As a result of the studies an effective technology of grinding gears using cBN wheels, which makes it possible to twice increase the process efficiency and afford the possibility of grinding without dressing up 2 complete revolutions and the precision and quality of the surface layer of the teeth machined. The results of the studies are implemented at the Zorya-Mashproekt state works in Nikolaev.
