Essay

The basic philosophical and methodological features of postnonclassical science that led to the concept of virtuality emergence in the philosophical and scientific discourse were thoroughly analyzed in this research. Dissertation describes the basic conditions of possibility for concept of virtuality to work in modern science from the perspective of its methodological and rationalistic transformations. It is shown that the emergence of the concept of virtuality and its further conceptualization is a consequence of changes of historical types of scientific rationality from classical to nonclassical and further to postnonclassical ones. It is revealed that the concept of virtuality is introduced through the opposition of possible and actual existence, and enables us to distinguish specific philosophical concepts such as "something" and "nothing" in the modern physical discourse. It was found that methodological function of the concept of virtuality - is to fulfill its role in the synthesis of the dialectical opposition (semantic mismatch) of nonequilibrium states of dynamical systems: "part - whole", "individual - society", "pre-reflective consciousness - body".
