Zubok V. Interconnection of the Internet nodes using methods of the complex networks theory

The problem of enhancing the effectiveness of the Internet by optimizing topological organization of the network by finding the optimal topology of links for the target node. The effectiveness evaluated by the remoteness factor - criterion based on distance function of the Internet metric space derived from route attributes formed by border gateway protocol BGP4. With this NP-hard combinatorial problem is transformed into the problem of order relation by the remoteness factor. Technique of finding effective links combination of the target node is implemented in the software package. Experimentally demonstrated that the method provides the remoteness factor of the target node with two links - 24% less, and with three links - 27% less than the average node in the network.
