Kovaliova S. The ecological substantiation of raising ducks on radiocontaminated territories of Ukrainian Polissya

The thesis covers the theoretical and experimental materials related to obtaining ecologically safe duck produce under raising poultry on the territories with various radiocontamination density. The author is the first to carry out integrated investigations into the peculiarities of raising ducks in subsidiary small-holdings without using mixed fodders under various ways of keeping - indoor and with the use of water reservoirs. The peculiarities of the duck growth and development under various ways of keeping are determined. The regularities of the blood morphological indices in ducks under both ways of keeping are established. The radioecological state of fodders on household plots is determined, the specific activity of 137Cs in the poultry slaughter produce is investigated. The advantages of outdoor keeping of ducks over indoor keeping with the aim of obtaining ecologically safe poultry produce are specificd. The contamination of heavy metals and microelements in the ducks slaughter produce is investigated
