Essay

The manuscript is dedicated to the question of obtaining titanium alloys castings with regulated structural parameters and mechanical properties. The influence of electron beam scull melting with electromagnetic stirring technological factors was investigated from the point of structural parameters and mechanical properties formation for three main structural groups of titanium alloys. The corresponding dependings are described by mathematical models, on which the problem of multi-objective optimization of titanium alloys melting regimes, to produce castings with specified structural parameters and hardness, had been solved. On a base of obtained commercial alloys properties, phase and strucrure analysis, it was confirmed that the developed principles are useful for producing a high-quality titanium castings and half-finished products.
