Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving scientific and technical problems, namely obtaining diffusion multilayer coatings involving aluminum and chromium on titanium alloy VT6 by diffusion metallization from the gas phase with increased values of microhardness, heat resistance, corrosion resistance and abrasive wear resistance. The physical and chemical conditions of the complex process of saturation of titanium alloys with chromium and aluminum are studied; the rational modes of the diffusion metallization depending on the temperature and compositions of the initial reagents, which were used as powders of aluminum, chromium and an activator NH4Cl, are installed. The phase and chemical composition, the structure and features of the formation of multi-coatings are defined. It was established that the main structural components that define high properties of the coatings are heat and corrosion resistant phases Al3(Ti,Cr) and Al8(Cr,Ti) with cubic crystal lattices and wear resistant nitride phases TiN, Ti2AlN.
