Tkachenko N. Strategy of socio-economic development of large cities in the region in the context of globalization trends

The thesis covers the theoretical principles of strategy formation and implementation for the social and economic development of large cities in the context of globalized environment and on such bases the methodological approaches have been developed for optimization of Ukrainian megapolosis integration into global world economy. The system-dynamic model of city development has been devised describing the phenomenon of "urbo-effect". It has been established that urbo-effect is being developed as a synergy result of multi-vector, multi-factor and multilevel interaction between several essential system-developing elements: population; production; engineering and transport infrastructure; social infrastructure; commercial and business sphere as well as consumer market; public administration; area resources and environmental conditions.
