Savelova M. The influence of the German cultural policy on the processes of cultural integration of the Member States of the EU (1990-2008 gg.)

The thesis is the first scientific work, which generalized cultural policy of the EU, Germany and Ukraine during 1990 - 2008 years. The work is based on a wide range of sources it considers artistic, educational and scientific aspects of cultural cooperation in the national and global transformation processes. This comprehensive study, that includes the important directions and forms of interstate cooperation allowed us to disclose the nature, content and main results of cooperation. The author made the detailed analysis of the nature of the cultural policy of the EU. Specifically this work shows us concepts, strategies, programs, instruments and official documents, which cultural policy of the EU is based on. Special attention is paid to the regional and international cultural policy of the European community. The process of how the policy strategies in the field of culture were formed in Germany is followed. Implementation mechanisms, documentary base, cultural and political programs of Germany within the country, in Europe and outside the Union of European states are studed. For example, projects: EU - China, EU - Latin America, the German strategic cultural projects in the UK, France, Czech Republic and Poland, Ukraine. An important role in the study is given to the cultural policy of the EU towards Ukraine, detailed analysis of the cultural cooperation between Ukraine and Germany is made by the author, strategic projects are accented.
