Essay

It is found, that contamination is a combination of genre and poetic connections, which arise as a result of interference of works of oral folklore and literature. They form a new genre quality that does not hide it's intertextual origin from various sources. Contamination is close to borrowings, stylizations, reminiscences, allusions, but has its own specifics, keeps tracks of different sources, confirms culture equivalent of different arts. Writers only use motifs and images of folk art as passive rough material, that requires artistic treatment. Contamination has a dual character. Folkloryzm of literature involves getting of oral poetry elements in a work of art, folklorization of literature shows the opposite way - absorbency of literary heritage by folklore.
