Essay

Object of research - processing of data generated by remote sensing of space and aviation basing. Goal of research - improvement of existing and development of new methods of data compression obtained using remote sensing systems with a controlled level of introduced distortions. Methods of research - methods of processing of random processes, nonlinear filtration, coding, spectral and correlation analysis, robust estimation of signals parameters. Practical significance of the work – it is developed software with algorithms which allowed to apply the methods offered in work to the solution of specific practical objectives. The novelty – for the first time it is proposed the method of spectrograms compression based on the discrete cosine transformation with use of differential signals; it is improved the compression method of remote sensing hyperspectral data; the method of providing the desired visual quality at compression of images is gained a further development; for the first time it is proposed the method for predicting the presence of optimal operating point and values of compression parameters in it at compression of the images distorted by noises. Level of integration - industrial. Area of using - RS data processing.
