The object of study - damage to the jet stream forming member due to mechanical wear and tear on the action of the abrasive particles. The aim of this work is to improve the efficiency of waterjet cutting forming member of the jet as a multi-component products based on the stabilization and reduction of the intensity of damage with the use of wear-resistant coatings. The work was based on the fundamental principles of fracture mechanics of solids, technical fluid mechanics, cutting theory, theory of strength and ductility. Use the results of research and waterjet cavitation damage in solids fast-moving stream. It brought modern methods of experimental study of surfaces: scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis of the surface and the surface layer. Statistical analysis of the experimental data used in the known methods for processing samples of observations, the adequacy of the results verified by statistical Cochran's Q test, Fisher, Student et al., Built-in software packages: "Statgraphics Centurion", "MathCad 2000". Simulation of the processes carried out in the environment of "SolidWorks", "Cosmos", "FlowVision". The validity of theoretical assumptions, development, structures, tools and technologies supported by experiments performed in laboratory and production environments. Dissertation is devoted to issues of efficiency increase of the element forming the cutting waterjet stream as a multi-component products based on the stabilization and reduction of the intensity of damage with the use of wear-resistant coatings.
