Essay

This thesis focuses on changes in spin and orbital subsystems of 3d-metal ions in complexes with different symmetry by changing the parameter "effective nuclear charge" and the definition of this parameter from experimental data. The schemes of determination of the effective nuclear charge of 3d-ions, located in the crystal matrix of arbitrary symmetry. The proposed schemes of spin state diagrams and adiabatic surfaces allowed to examine the evolution of the spin and orbital states of ions under the influence of arbitrary 3d-ion environment distortions and changing of the effective nuclear charge value.
