Object - community algae litter of forest ecosystems of the steppe zone of Ukraine. The goal - to establish ecological features and specificities algae communities in forest floor of natural and artificial forest ecosystems of the steppe zone of Ukraine and their bioindicative signs. Methods - soil-algological, molecular genetic, ecological-floristic, geobotanical, microbiological, biochemical, statistics. As a result of investigations carried out a comprehensive environmental assessment of algae communities in forest floor natural and artificial forest ecosystems of the steppe zone of Ukraine. The features of the vertical distribution of algae both biogeocenotic horizons forest biogeocenosis and subhorizon of softwood and hardwood forest floor; traced connection structural-dynamic indicators of algal communities with ecological and trophic groups of microorganisms of forest floor and its enzymatic activity. The estimation of the environmental performance due algae communities forest floor to the typological features of natural and artificial forests and physico-chemical properties of forest floor and signs installed bioindicative algae communities. Specifying information regarding the impact of recreation on the composition and structure of communities of algae forest floor. Compiled an annotated list of algal mats, bark and soil of coniferous and deciduous forest ecosystems of the steppe zone of Ukraine, which contains 124 species-level taxa. Spheres of use are ecological expertise, monitoring, training courses.
