Theses is devoted to the validation and the optimization of titanium-based alloys VT5L and VT20L casting technology with subsequent internal defects elimination during hot isostatic pressing (HIP) in order to improve their physical and mechanical properties and to reduce manufacturing rejection. The methods for mathematical and physical modelling of removing internal defects in titanium alloy castings are developed to allow predicting subsurface macrodefects behaviour during HIP. The patterns of compensator parameters influence on the sizes and forms of shrinkage defects in T-shaped thermal centres are determined. The optimal HIP mode for titanium alloys VT5L and VT20L casting treatment is established in order to guarantee finely-grained structure and high mechanical properties.
