The dissertation is devoted to solving actual scientific and applied problem of creating a simple and efficient electromechanical system for the contra-rotating design of wind turbine with a vertical axis of rotation (VAWT). Is developed principles of creation of electromechanical system for VAWTs on the basis of synchronous generator with permanent magnets. Is improved the mathematical model of the transformer with a rotating half (TRH). Is developed a new system of quasi-optimal regulation of work of VAWTs on the basis of discrete switching the secondary windings of the TRH. Is developed estimator of wind speed.
