Shyshkanynets I. The Peculiarities of Beech Forest Stands Formation in Latorica River-Basin Upstream.

Object of the research is beech forest stands in the Latorytsya river-basin upstream. Purpose of the paper is to reveal the regularities of natural regeneration of the forests of the area and peculiarities of natural formation of the beech forest stands. Methods of the research are forest inventory; typological analysis; dendrochronological and dendroclimatological; mathematical and statistical methods. Scientific novelty lies in the establishment of the tendency towards the change of the main climate indices in the research area; evaluation of the productivity and state of the beech forest stands in the most spread types of the forest; revelation of the peculiarities of the natural regeneration under the canopy of beech forest stands and after the even gradual cutting; analysis of the dynamics of the formation processes of the natural young beech forest stands after the strip felling; revelation of the dependence of the radial growth from the main climate indices; defining of the influence of the various intensity cutting on the young beech forest stands formation. Practical value consists in the fact that the main bases and principles of the young beech forest stands formation are used by the state forestry enterprises of the Zakarpattya Regional Administration of Forestry and Hunting Sector, Zakarpatahrolis enterprise and in the academic course "Regional Forestry".
