Essay

The expression for the energy density radiated due to the soliton interaction with the spatial inhomogeneities in two-dimensional Josephson junction is found. The emitted energy dependence on the soliton velocity is built and the influence of the impurity geometric parameters is explained. The dependence of the threshold current of the soliton pinning on impurities from the junction width is calculated. The possibility of existence in the asymmetric Josephson junctions array of solitons moving without radiation with the certain set of velocities is shown. The signatures of these velocities demonstrated on the respective current-voltage characteristics of the array.
