Essay

The object - the state of energetic and lipid exchange in the semen of bulls for the actions of L-carnitine. The objective of the dissertation is to clarify the state of energetic and lipid of metabolism, antioxidant activity in the semen of bulls for the actions of L-carnitine; develop methods of correction by metabolic germ cells for improve physiological parameters of sperm quality. Methods: biochemical, physiological, cytomorphological and statistics. Novelty - the L-carnitine influence on lipid composition, antioxidant enzymes, content of lipid peroxidation products and physiological parameters bull sperm. The effect of L-carnitine on erythropoiesis, energy metabolism, protein synthesis and testosterone in bull has been investigated. It was found that L-carnitine as a supplement to the diet, and in the composition of semen diluent is normalizes energy metabolism, increases the activity of antioxidant enzymes, reduces the content of lipid peroxidation products and improves the quality of sperm. Was detected the dependence between parameters of lipid and energy metabolism, antioxidant defense system functioning and quality indicators of sperm. Scientific novelty of the results has been confirmed by declarative patents of Ukraine for useful model "Method for increasing sperm survival" and "Method of improving the quality of bull semen."
