Essay

Object of research: electromagnetic and thermal processes in damping systems of the rotors of synchronous generators in different modes of operation. The purpose of research: improving the design damping systems rotors powerful synchronous hydro generators and turbine generators to increase their stability and reliability in abnormal operating conditions and the presence of variations of design parameters of generators that have emerged in the course of long-term operation. Methods of research: finite element method; electrical methods of the theory of nonlinear; methods for the numerical solution of differential and algebraic equations; methods in the field of algorithms and programming. Theoretical and practical results: developed a new mathematical model of interconnected field of electromagnetic and thermal processes in the damper system of hydraulic generator rotor; first established and described the causes and mechanism of intense destruction of the damper system of hydraulic generator rotor at steady speeds of hydraulic generator with the appearance of uneven air gap; field developed new mathematical models of physical processes in the end zones of the turbine generator rotor; formulated a set of technical solutions and recommendations for improving the design of hydraulic generator rotor poles; formulated a set of technical solutions and recommendations for improving the design of the turbine generator rotor end wedges. Degree of introduction: implementation of the Institute of Electrodynamics National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the justification and development of technical solutions aimed at improving the reliability, load capacity and life extension of hydraulic generator type СВ1230/140-56; in the educational process at the department of electromechanics National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". Sphere of use: manufacturing plants, repair organizations and universities electromechanics profile.
