Shestak Y. Meliorative properties of erosion control stands in NovgorodSiverskiiPolissia

The thesis is devoted to the study of protective properties of erosion control stands growing on erosion ravine and gully systems in Novgorod-Siverskii Polissia. A complex research of the effect of erosion control stands different species compositions on site conditions has been done, sanitary state of stands installed, features of growth and productivity of plants for erosion control on gully-ravine lands found out. It’s found out the physical and chemical properties of soils and fractional composition of the forest litter. It’s installed that in decidious and conifer erosion control stands are forming the litter of high and average power correspondingly. Increasind of litter stocks was in decidious and conifer stands from 61,5 to 91,5 ts.?ha-1. It’s got data about spreading root systems of pine, oak and birch. The dynamics of growth and productivity of anti-erosion stands on the main biometric indices have been modeled and the keys indicators defined paths and formation of highly erosion resistant vegetation on ravine and gully systems in Novgorod-Siverskii Polissia pointed out.
