Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of stable method of calculation of the scattering matrix for horizontally layered anisotropic media with absorption and its use for the synthesis of wavefields. The method is based on the delta-operator technique developed for anisotropic media in the framework of the Haskell-Thomson method. The results are generalized for fluid-elastic anisotropic media.
