Essay

This thesis analyzed the potential for social mobilization of traditionalist philosophy and proved relevance of applying practical conclusions to transformation of the Ukrainian society. Research explored conceptual foundations of philosophy of traditionalism. It was shown that traditionalism is endowed with its own philosophical-historical paradigm, which undermines the idea of progress and linear time in general. It was substantiated that the contemporary society viewed as the postmodern with regard to its main tendencies of development appears as the neotraditional to the extent in which happens rehabilitation and reconstruction of the traditional social institutions and values. It was revealed that, although the issue of new social conflict inherent in the postmodern society is one of the most serious urgent problems of modernity, social sciences cannot solve it, largely for ideological rather than scientific reasons. Traditionalism with its idea of solidarity, organic and hierarchic society is able to offer its own perspective of the problem of new social conflict. It was demonstrated that conceptual ideas of traditionalism, solidarism and "organic democracy" are historically enrooted in the Ukrainian ground and meet the needs of transformation of the modern Ukrainian society.
