The object of study - process heat turbogenerator with an increase in its installed capacity in dimensions to the changing geometry (weight and dimensions) its structural (non-active) and type of coolant. The aim - to establish a functional relationship overall dimensions of structural parts turbogenerator with its electromagnetic loads by clarifying existing dependencies to develop criteria for assessing whether the prospective areas of turboheneratorobuduvannya. Methods: methods based on the theory of similarity of processes, computer modeling and Criteria based selection method, the theory of electrical machines, statistical methods of research, the laws of thermodynamics and aerodynamics in a gaseous medium, the finite element method. Theoretical and practical results, based on formulated approach to the improvement of the masses and dimensions turbine generators proposed complex engineering activities; developed software package "Fahrenheit", which allows you to perform design turbogenerator with air cooler providing its geometry and minimum weight; based on experimental test stand made air cooler in different operating modes. Scientific novelty of the results: first proposed criterion relationship indicators structural weight and dimensions of the turbine generators from its electromagnetic loads, first proposed common approach to improve (decrease) indicators weight and dimensions of the structural parts of turbogenerators with air cooling system based electromagnetic load and the type of coolant ; improved mathematical model of the heat exchange device; The system design air cooler. Degree of implementation: the SE plant "Electrotyazhmash" (m. Kharkiv) results taken to imple-tion in production; JSC "Interregional Association of Electric Power" "Elta" (m.
