Ostrova V. Prospective identity as a factor of social-psychological adaptation of students

The study set out to examine the importance and role of prospective identity in the process of social-psychological adaptation of students. The content, structure and dynamics of the identities of actual and prospective students are estimated in it. The author have come up with a method for an improved method of survey prospective identity and have provided rationale for the usage of "prospectiveness factor? as a measure of complexity and differentiation of identity pattern. It is discovered three levels of complexity and differentiation of students' prospective identity: high, medium, low. It is proved that prospective identity is a factor and the psychological mechanism of social-psychological adaptation of students.
