Essay

The thesis is a complex research of biogas combustion, as well as the designing of biogas burners for industrial boilers. The methodology of construction biogas burner and burners for biogas and natural gas co-combustion was developed. Criteria for the reconstruction of existing natural gas burners for biogas combustion were introduced and developed. The laboratory-scale units for research of biogas flame and vortex burner model for biogas and natural gas co-combustion were created. Emissions of carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) during biogas combustion were defined. The length of biogas flame is less than natural gas due to the injection effect is larger in the initial section of the jet was shown. The characteristics of different modes of vortex burner model for biogas and natural gas co-combustion on condition of the least polluting emissions were researched. This can be achieved when biogas will enter before natural gas to a stream of air was shown. The scheme of upgrading burners for biogas and natural gas co-combustion which installed in the existing industrial boilers was designed. Operating non-gasholder scheme of Bortnychi WWTP with reconstruction boilers DKVR-6.5/13 and DKVR-20/13 for biogas and natural gas co-combustion was designed. The vortex burner capacity of 12 MW for biogas and natural gas co-combustion for industrial boiler DE-16/14 (Luzhanska Distillery, Chernovtsii region, Ukraine) was designed, manufactured and commissioned.
