Essay

Research is devoted to the study of patterns of destruction of rocks of medium strength by the tool with functional elements from the diamond composite materials (KAM). In the thesis the reference fragment of drilled solids, which was selected from suspension mass of the destruction products and the coolant is considered in order to study geometrical parameters of fragment of drilled solids, what allows to reproduce the mechanism of interaction of the indenter (a diamond grain) and a rock mass during of its destruction. A mathematical model of sequential spalling of individual fragments of drilled solids of the rock mass was offered. The method for assessing the performance of diamond tools for the destruction of brittle hard materials was developed.
