Essay

It was established the correcting effect of linseed oil on the state of the pancreas, prooxidant-oxidative balance and composition of lipids in the tissues of rabbits with acute L-arginine-induced pancreatitis. Fed linseed oil increases the ratio of the content of anti-inflammatory fatty acid family omega-3 to pro-inflammatory fatty acids family omega-6 in the composition of total lipids, nonesterified fatty acids, phospholipids, esterified cholesterol and triacylglycerols in blood plasma, liver and skeletal muscles of rabbits with acute L-arginine -induced pancreatitis. Under these conditions, the introduction of linseed oil to diet of animals stimulates the conversion of cholesterol in bile acid, 25-OH-vitamin D3, testosterone, aldosterone and cortisolin in the rabbit's body.
